How domain transfers work
Some domain extensions require an EPP or authorisation code before the transfer can start. Other extensions, such as .co.za, usually do not use an EPP code.
When you place the transfer order, HostworX submits the request to the registrar. The registrar then sends the transfer approval request to the domain's admin, technical and owner contacts. If the required contact does not approve the request, the transfer will fail.
For .co.za domains, owner approval usually completes the transfer immediately. If only the technical or admin contact approves it, the transfer normally waits 5 days before it processes.
